Highett Community Bank Exists To Benefit Our Community
We opened in March 2001. The rules of our company require that we give back all our profits to our community. No more than 20% in dividends and up to 80% in Grants, sponsorships or donations. Taking into account all grants, donations, sponsorships & dividends up to December 2008 our company has distributed $693,215 to our community in seven and a half years.
Grants, donations, sponsorships and dividends have exceeded $200,000 in each of the last two calendar years. In 2008, 38 different community groups received some financial benefit from us. Last November at the AGM, through our annual Grants program, we distributed $141,000 to 28 organisations in our community, the comunity recipients included:
