Highett Community Bank Exists To Benefit Our Community

We opened in March 2001. The rules of our company require that we give back all our profits to our community.  No more than 20% in dividends and up to 80% in Grants, sponsorships or donations. Taking into account all grants, donations, sponsorships & dividends up to December 2008 our company has distributed $693,215 to our community in seven and a half years.

Grants, donations, sponsorships and dividends have exceeded $200,000 in each of the last two calendar years. In 2008, 38 different community groups received some financial benefit from us.  Last November at the AGM, through our annual Grants program, we distributed $141,000  to 28 organisations in our community, the comunity recipients included:

March 2009

Highett Community Financial Services Limited Annual General Meeting was held at the Highett RSL on Monday 24th  November at  8pm.
Grants to the value of $141,000 were presented to local community groups on the night.


$25,000  provided to Sandringham Hospital for Foetal  Monitor

The foetal monitor is used to identify babies at risk and provide appropriate care for both mother and baby and is used in the birthing suite and assessment area of the Maternity Unit. These monitors are able to trace a baby's heart rate and patterns while midwives and doctors are able to assess and predict the wellbeing of the foetus/baby and mother. This monitor will be used by over 1000 babies.
